About this Package

The Interview Techniques package gives you information on your own type preferences, and the ways in which these affect your performance in an interviewing environment.

You'll complete the Type Preferences Test, and receive general information on your personal type preferences as well as information specific to your interviewing requirements.

What's in the Package?

The package consists of:

  • a 'Type World' report, introducing you to the idea of type preferences (if you've taken a look at Academy28 products already, this is a fully fleshed-out version of the basic 'Introduction to Type' report)
  • an 'Interview Techniques' report, with detailed information on applying a knowledge of your specific preferences when it comes to the interview stage of the job you're applying for

What Does This Package Do?

Having completed the Type Preferences Test and read your personalised reports, you will:

  • understand how you think in the run-up to an interview, as well as in the interview room itself
  • gain insights into why you do the things you do!
  • understand why certain interviewers may behave in certain ways, as a result of their personality types
  • be able to determine, for any given interview situation, how you can create a plan of action that will enable you to deal with the difference in preferences between you and your interviewers

What Will the Information Tell Me?

The Interview Techniques report:

  • shows you how your behavioural preferences have an impact on the ways in which you prepare yourself for an unknown environment
  • details the ways in which different interviewers may respond, so you're prepared to face interviewers of different types
  • highlights the different approaches you can use in dealing with a combination of different types in the interview room
  • provides you with a checklist of what to do – and what not to do! – in preparing for and going through the interview process
